That’s why in todays world when everything is rushed and everyone is wishing for more time in the day, people are focussing less on their own health and wellbeing. Ones health should always be a priority no matter where you are, we are going to tell you some tips and tricks about how to maintain or lose weight even if you are at the office. Nowadays, food has become something more than just a mean to fuel our bodies, we eat for the sake of eating, we eat when we are bored, especially when we are stuck at the desk all day! Breaking the cycle can be difficult but with the following tips you will be on your way to feeling and looking great by eating only when essential and only eating healthy snacks.
Tips and tricks for losing weight:
1. Do Not Eat At Your Desk â€" This goes for at home or at work. Our brains correlate the two things so when we go to sit down, we automatically think of food. Eat away from places you tend to spend a lot of time. If you are at work, step away from your desk to eat. Anywhere, but not your desk. This will help get you out of the moment and really think about what you are eating
2. Eat Out Smart â€" Eating out does not have to damage your diet. Take the time to do research. If you are going to a restaurant you are not sure of, Google the menu. Have a plan before you go. That way you are less likely to order something calorie laden. Also, do not be afraid to ask the chef to prepare it the way you want it. One other trick is to ask the waiter to bring half of the meal and box the other half to-go. This way you are not tempted to eat the whole thing and you have lunch for the next day. Eating out right is all about planning ahead.
3. Take a Walk
Using your coffee breaks to take walks outside of the office instead of drinking coffee will be beneficial to your mental state and to your health. Even if your break is only ten minutes long, or fifteen minutes long, use at least one each day, or both to walk. Bring a co-worker along with you, and you can both begin to enjoy weight control. Do some stretches and make sure you dont let your body feel tense or cramped.
4. Think Short Term â€" Make short term realistic goals and post them everywhere. Having something to focus on will help you stay on track. For example, I want to lose 5 pounds. So my short term goal is to stay away from sugar for 1 week. Doing that helps remind me to make healthy choices. Also it will make you realize how many times a day you put something sugary into your mouth. So make small goals and keep reminding yourself of them
5. Eat Breakfast
Eating breakfast at home is the best weight control for an office worker. Your body needs food to start the day, and without breakfast your metabolism will be off all day. Eating breakfast before work does not mean ordering two donuts at the local coffee shop drive-thru. It could mean rising earlier to prepare a healthy breakfast. If you skip breakfast, you will be more likely to indulge in the closest food available.
6. Ban the Candy Dishes
Some companies have warped sensibilities when it comes to an office workers' health. They will spend thousands of dollars a year per employee on health insurance, and then actually sanction the presence of candy dishes in the office. One company even went as far as to include candy dishes as one of the acceptable foods that were allowed at each employee's desk.Take control of your weight and take the initiative and ban the candy dish from your desk. Encourage co-workers to do the same.
7. Keep Gum and Sugar-Free Mints Handy
If you need to do something with your mouth, keep an ample supply of different flavors of sugar-free gum and or mints at your desk.This are just a few tips and tricks that you can use in your help at the office. Take care of you more easiley and in the same time do your job at a highest level by improving your health and wellness.
