Raw food diets has become very popular these days and rightly so. Our bodies have evolved over a four million year period. For 3,950,000 of those years we ate only raw, living foods. It is only recently that we have begun eating cooked food. Now that we can make and prepare any type of meal, why would we take a step back and eat raw foods? The raw food diet is based on the belief that the most healthful food for the body is uncooked. Although most food is eaten raw, heating food is acceptable as long as the temperature stays below 104 to 118 degrees Fahrenheit.

Raw food is vegetarian food which is not baked, cooked or heated over 48 degrees Celsius, about 120 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be categorized into four main groups: vegetables and fruits, sprouts of all kinds, dehydrated breads and fruits, and fermented food with friendly germs.
Cooking denatures the proteins in our food, rendering them harder to digest and utilize. It destroys 50 percent of the protein in our food. Between 50 and 80 percent of the vitamins and minerals are also destroyed. Pesticides break down into more toxic compounds, which are more easily assimilated into our bodies. Oxygen is lost and free radicals are produced.
Over milion of years it is known that raw food can help you grow healthy. People who eat a greater percentage of living, organic foods are generally free of most illnesses, have greater mental clarity and higher levels of energy.
It is said that the sickness starts in the colon. If it is not well fed then it will bring a lot of diseases and illnesses into the body. That’s why a diet high in raw food consumption helps the colon to heal thus the body will get better also. There are a lot of examples of people who cured themselves from stage 3 colon cancer starting by eating 100% organic and include as much raw, unprocessed food as they could.
Our bodies have amazing healing powers but without propoer nutrition it can’t function the way it was designed. Raw foods allow and help the body to do its job and provide healing powers to any diseased areas, but that doesn’t mean that they are necessarily miracle foods that can heal you, they are just the best nutrition for your body. The more raw foods you consume, the less you will be polluting your body with processed foods that can and do bring harm.
There is evidence that proves that many vegetables and fruits have nutritiens that not only build the immune system but also kill cancer cells or stops the spread of the often debilitating diseases. Fruits and vegetables have phytonutrients that include antioxidants and these nutrients help prevent chronic diseases such as cancer. One great example is that of a middle-school English teacher from Taipei, Taiwan who had a very strerssful life. The doctors diagnosed her with pancreatic cancer and she started to read about raw food diets. She started to use orange juice as a liquid and added a banana and pineapple or mango. Also she used parsley, sunflower sprouts, romaine lettuce, and young pea sprouts, and after three months at her checkup the doctors discovered the cancer had disaperead compleltly! This is only one example of what raw food can do to your body and for your health.
Cleanse yourself, and choose doing that by eating more raw food. In this way you will be more healthy and you will lose weight for sure. Every struggle you go through in life, the one thing you need for all of them is energy, your body and mind need to be at one and cleansing your body is vital for this. With focus and a raw food diet, you will see the results unfold within a few weeks.
